Rental Policies

GENERAL INFORMATION

Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is by 10:00 a.m. Procedure: Leave and pick up keys at Harborview’s office at 291 S. Collier Boulevard Suite #103. LATE ARRIVAL: Keys will be placed in our lock box just outside Harborview’s office. The combination will be on your rental confirmation. If a condo or house has a keyless entry, information will be emailed to the guest multiple times in the lead up to your stay.

Linens and housewares are provided. Since units are privately owned, decor and equipment will vary. Equipment rental for cribs, strollers, rollaway, bikes, etc. is available. Please inquire with the Harborview office on specific companies who offer such rental items.

Unit will be cleaned before arrival and after each departure.

Trailers, RVs, and campers are prohibited at all properties on the Island. Storage arrangements should be made on or off the island. Most condo complexes prohibit motorcycles, please inquire with our office if you plan on bringing a motorcycle.

Use of boat docks varies with each condominium. Half day and full day boat rentals are available through local marinas.

Tigertail Beach and South Beach are available for all guests to use for a minimum parking fee. Resident’s Beach is private and offered to residents and annual guests.

Pets are not allowed in most rental properties. In our pet friendly homes, authorization is needed. No condo building will allow a guest to bring a pet.

Cable TV and WIFI is provided in all rental units.

 All units are NON-SMOKING.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment Schedule:

Payments will be separated into 2 installments.  Fifty percent (50%) will be due 3 days after booking.  The remaining fifty percent (50%) will be due 150 days prior to arrival.  If a booking happens within 150 days, only 1 payment will be due, 3 days after booking.  If a booking takes place within 2 weeks of the arrival date, payment by credit card will be required.  Payments may be made by Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  A 3% service charge will be added if you make a payment by Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  We also take e-checks through our website however the reservation arrival date needs to be at least 2 weeks in advance to use this option.  

Cancellation:

You will receive 80% of any amount recovered if Agent is successful in re-booking the cancelled time. You will forfeit all monies paid if we are unable to re-rent this unit.  If you booked your property through an online source other than www.rentmarco.com, please refer to and follow the cancellation terms listed online when reserved.

Rentals are subject to state and local taxes. Some condominiums require nominal application and/or registration fees which are to be paid by the guest.

The damage protection fee covers guests up to the base rate amount, or maximum $2,000, whichever amount is less for any incidental damage that might occur while occupying.  Guest should report to Harborview office of any damages that might occur while staying.

HARBORVIEW RENTALS OFFERS LODGING CANCELLATION INSURANCE. This insurance is offered thru RedSky Travel Insurance and is optional at 6.95% of the base rate.

Condominium maximum occupancy is limited by the by-laws of each condominium. House maximum occupancy is determined by the owner.

If you occupy a house, you are responsible for electric bills over $200/wk, $275/2 wks, $325/3 wks or $400 per month, whichever is applicable.  If you occupy a house, you are responsible for all natural gas charges for gas heated pools over $200/wk, $275/2 wks, $325/3 wks or $400 per month, whichever is applicable.

From time to time, owners decide to sell their units. If the owner should decide to place their unit on the market, you agree to cooperate with the listing office in permitting the unit to be shown if you are given reasonable notice. In the event the owner of the unit we have confirmed to you elects to remove it from our rental program, we will arrange comparable accommodations for your visit or you will receive a full refund.

NO refunds will be made for appliance or air conditioning failure or breakdown. Repairs will be made as quickly as possible.
