"I stayed while attending a conference at the JW Marriott. Love the covered parking and Sunset Grill. Felt very safe during my stay and enjoyed the short walk to dip into the Gulf when the mood struck. Unit met my needs. Not luxurious. I would stay again.

"Location and deck view right on the beach. Having the Sunset Grille onsite in the same building was great, we ate there almost every night, great food. Very clean unit, had all that we need for our week stay. Included a closet with beach chairs and an umbrella so we were set. Would stay here again!

"The location was great .our only complaint is we had to go buy some wash clothes and it was chilly one night and pulled blanket out and it was gross all stained and unusable . A new blanket needs to be provided. The place is a little old but it was clean. A great location.the view was amazing and we would book again.

"We rented on VRBO which I thought was “ by owner” not involving a rental agency such as Harborview. I’m sure there were extra costs involved. Aside from all that the agency was very easy to work with. They responded promptly. Overall good experience. One complaint is they need new bath towels for the guests. Present ones should be torn and used for rags. Extra towels were found in a garbage bag under the bed. Seriously? I had to wash them before using. Really nasty.

"Overall happy with the rental unit. Location was excellent and covered parking was a plus. The furniture on the balcony was great, so were the beach supplies.

However, we were disappointed about how the unit was supplied. There was only ONE kitchen garbage bag (we had to go out and buy a whole box of garbage bags for our one week stay) and no salt or pepper (this was just silly... do all renters buy salt and pepper and you take it away when the rental is up?).

Kitchen was equipped well, however all knifes were very dull. They need to be replaced. The unit needs at least one decent chopping knife.

"All in all we enjoyed our rental. The view was beautiful, enjoyed watching the sunsets and the dolphins play form the balcony. As others have noted the couch is rather worn and dated. Other then that the rental was good. The beach items provided were in very bad condition, we purchased a chair and left it for future renters, On another note, Harbor view needs to send the Apollo brochure when you send contracts, that way renters will know about all of the rules, and also need to explain about the $25.00 parking fee and the $75,00 deposit(returnable) for the gate pass and pool bands. We will be back to the Apollo.

"First of all, I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Harborview in terms of their communication and their professionalism. Every question or concern was answered/resolved quickly and efficiently so thank you to Steve and his team.

In terms of the location, the Apollo complex is almost to the southern end of South Beach and as such it offered the shortest walk to the waterline and spectacular views to the right of the entire crescent beach. It was perfect.

Alongside some of the newer, grander buildings close by it looks its age, but that should not deter anyone from staying there for a minute.

Unit 506 itself is perfectly adequate but there are a couple of things that could have been better. The bedroom was a little ho-hum and the queen bed itself, while perfectly adequate was not as comfortable as I am used to at home.

The bathroom is great and the walk in shower is very, very nice. However one little quirk was that the water in the shower itself was never really quite hot enough, especially compared to the water at the vanity which I found a little strange. We had spectacular weather so it wasn't a major issue but it may have been if you needed a shower to warm up.

The kitchen too, while perfectly adequate was uninspiring and I thought it really weird that there were no condiments, spices or herbs at all. That may be a management policy, but I've stayed in many different units all over the world and it is the first time I've ever needed to go out and buy even salt and pepper!!

The living room and dining table are fine and the balcony is great, with very decent furniture and naturally, when not on the beach this is where we spent most of our time so that made most things right with the world!

Beach furniture, while appreciated DEFINITELY needs an upgrade but again these are not major complaints in any way and we had a spectacular vacation.

We would definitely book again!!

"Overall we had a nice time. The condo had a great view off of the balcony total beach and ocean view. The condo was very clean which was wonderful! Loved the pool and hot tub! "2nd year at #506. Sliding doors to balcony are extremely hard to open . The lower support roller should be replaced or maybe replace the entire doors ! Shower head is leaking badly, Might be a simple replacement of valve seal. This must impact their water bill. No instructions on how to use the CD/DVD player. Plastic protective 3 ft. long piece was located between refrigerator and corner of wall. Must have been bumped off before we rented. Poor alarm clock in bedroom ( very hard to set it possible to have someone in the lobby before 10AM so we can check out at 9AM ?

Great view and value

"This was our second time staying in this complex but the first time in this unit. The unit was updated and very clean. We had enough cooking utensils for lunch and breakfast and simple dinners. The view from the patio was gorgeous, better than any restaurant in the area.
There were very few downsides. The bed wasn't very comfortable but for a rental, it was reasonable. I can't imagine sleeping on the pullout, even for small children. The pictures made it seem like the unit had beach chairs and equipment but we ended up having to buy them. (We did leave them so at this point there are chairs!) No games or puzzles or books in the unit but there was a small lending library in the complex.
Only one elevator was working which made wait times very long. We ended up taking the stairs from the fifth floor regularly.
Overall we loved the unit and would consider returning. The owners were very easy to work with and the price was excellent.

Great budget place on Marco Island!

"The Apollo is a good place for people on a budget in Marco. The building/facilities are a bit dated, but location is great. The beach is so warm and calm that we didn't even need the pool. Elevators are slow, but you're on vacation! The staff at the Apollo were very friendly and helpful.

A great place to stay #506

"My husband and I spent six nights at the Apollo. Our unit was very comfortable. The view was amazing!!! The location on the island is convenient. There are a few restaurants and some shopping within walking distance. There is a nice bookstore and Bebe's is great for ice cream. Check in when we arrived was very quick and easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The washing machine on our floor was out of order during our stay but I was on vacation and had no intention of doing laundry. Our unit was well furnished and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is newly remodeled and was nice. There is no tub, just a shower, and if you have small children that may not work for you. The best part is the proximity to the beach. It is right out the back door. We would definitely stay here again. It was a very relaxing vacation.

"We have stayed at the Apollo before, so we knew
we enjoyed the location and the building. This
condo, unit 506, has been updated with all tile flooring,
walk in shower and upgraded kitchen with granite counters. The one bedroom units, as
this was, are small but for two people, all
the space we need as we spend most of our
time on the lanai taking in the GREAT view
or on the beach which is just down the elevator
and a few steps away. It's nice to have the
sunset grill on the main floor of the property
in case there is an evening you choose to
walk downstairs and catch the sunset eating
on their beach side patio. We like Marco Island
because it is an easy drive to restaurants and
stores, leaving more time for the beautiful
beach. And, if you like shells, this is the
beach to find them!! We would definitely
return to this condo. (In addition to the
beautiful sunsets, we enjoyed watching
dolphin swim off the coast from our lanai,
as well, that's how close you are to the water!)

"Apollo Condos are in a good location on the beach. A sign that says Apollo out front would be helpful. The beach is not as crowded as it is near the center of the island, even though there is a public access next door. Restaurants are fairly close and even one on the first floor of the condo building. The weekend female staff person was friendly and helpful.Condo #506 definitely needs an update! The sofa was worn out! If two people sat on it, they both would slide to the middle. It was even recommended as another bed for two people. When we tried to sleep on it, the springs were digging in our backs and we slid to the middle support whatsoever! There was a top sheet for the sofa bed, but not a bottom sheet.The sliding glass door screen did not slide properly. When we turned on the bathroom fan, it smelt like old stale tobacco. The tub needed a new glaze on it and there was some mold on the shower curtain and the tile. The inner lock on the front door was loose and provided a false sense of security. It was time consuming to try and locate a channel on the main TV.The condo did have a well equipped kitchen, beach chairs and umbrella.I did ask if there was a hairdryer and was told no. Upon arrival I found two hairdryers there. After using the one for a couple of minutes, the handle got too hot to hold. The other hairdryer stopped working after about two minutes. So I guess the owner was right; there were no hairdryers. For the rental price paid, I was dissatisfied with the condition of condo #506 and would not recommend it until it is updated!

"We have stayed at the Apollo (different units) for almost 10 years. We love the location and security of the building. The unit we stayed in this time could upgrade the couch and chair as they were uncomfortable. The bathroom could also be upgraded. The unit was clean and had most items needed for a 2 week stay. Sunsets are beautiful. Beach access is easy. The lobby is kept in tip top condition at all times. The maintenance man takes pride in his work.
